Explanation Supposing Books Chill Factor

Librarian’s note: This is a previously-published edition of paperback ISBN: 9780743466776. Cleary, North Carolina, is a sleepy mountain town—the kind of place where criminal activity is usually limited to parking violations. Not so, lately. Four women have disappeared from Cleary over the past two years. And there’s always a blue ribbon left near the spot where each of the women was last seen. There are no bodies, no other clues, and no suspicion as to who their abductor might be. And now, another woman has disappeared without a trace. It is to this backdrop that Lilly Martin returns to close the sale of her mountain cabin, marking the end of her turbulent eight-year marriage to Dutch Burton, Cleary’s chief of police. Dutch’s reluctance to let her go isn’t Lilly’s only obstacle. As she’s trying to outrun a snowstorm, her car skids on the icy road and strikes a man who emerges from the woods on foot. She recognizes the injured man as Ben Tierney, whom she’d met the previous summer. They’re forced to wait out the storm in the cabin, but as the hours of their confinement mount, Lilly begins to wonder if the greatest danger to her safety isn’t the blizzard outside, but the mysterious man right beside her. Is Ben Tierney the feared abductor? Or is he who he claims to be...her rescuer from harm and from the tragedy that haunts her?

Criticize Based On Books Chill Factor
I am a big fan of Sandra Brown. I dont even glance at blurbs before requesting her books. To this moment Ive read 34 of her novels. To my shame I havent written a single review on any of them. I just I thought that everyone knows about Sandra Brown and either like her books or not. So I was really surprised when I realized that several of my GR friends havent read her novels and only now they begin to discover this author. Now Im going to write reviews on Sandra Browns books because she writes

3 StarsOverall Opinion: I liked the mystery (even though I did figure out who it was pretty early on) and I liked the survival scenes. It was like a marooned romance in the sense that they were stuck together, but I guess I just wanted more romance. There was a lot of side stories going on that I could've done without. I figure it was all to keep the intrigue and mystery going though. One of my issues with romantic suspense is that I often feel like between the romance and suspense there is an

I decided on reading this book for my Month of Mystery TBR for August. I had heard that her books are standalone books and I had been collecting quite a few, so it was time to start reading some of her works since I had so many. I am glad that I read it.SynopsisFive women are missing from the sleepy mountain town of Cleary, North Carolina, and a blue ribbon has been left near where each woman was last seen. Nothing has ever made me second-guess myself as much as this book did. Sandra Brown is a genius!

Reviewed at: Cross My Heart Writings and ReviewsLike most Sandra Brown books, Chill Factor is high on suspense and rich in details with a setting that plays intricately into the story.  The list of possible who-done-it candidates is laden with red herrings and the stakes are high.  Like the road that snakes up the mountainside where Lilly Martin finds herself stranded in a cabin during a blizzard, the plot is twisted with s-turns and roadblocks.  If only she had headed down right behind her

4.5 StarsAnother great novel by Sandra Brown. This book combines two elements that I love: trapped-in-a-blizzard romance and a small town mystery.Love, love cabin romances. Theres something magical about them. On the one hand, they give me that cozy feeling of being indoors cuddled under the duvet while it snows outside. On the other hand, I love the tension and the slow build-up of the romantic relationship in a confined space (without technology, ow/om drama, manwhoring habits and other

Seems I have broken my audio drought, as wholeheartedly the two main characters with very cool names - Lilly and Tierney - survived their blizzard and crazy circumstances. This romantic thriller (what a great combo this is) was good, perhaps a tad drawn out, but good none the less.Awesome narration. Was his voice as sexy as Tierney was built up to be?! Perhaps. But such a good voice to spend some hours with on my work commute. I feel at home with this author, she will deliver. It was too long,
