It is a positive, affirming story, where the male character pays tribute to his male role models in life. Although he lost both his father and his grandfather too soon, their loving care and example have in turn helped him to be the person that he is today with his own life partner and children (and eventually, grandchildren.) Wow, what a beautiful second story to the first. Ms. Marsman is an exceptional writer, and tells a beautiful story of family and friends, a story that I hope my children will have from my husband and me. He quite enjoyed reading the first book and read this one while I was reading, Book Too. I am looking forward to reading more work by this author in the future.
