Description In Pursuance Of Books Lord of Scoundrels (Scoundrels #3)

DETERMINED LADY Tough-minded Jessica Trent's sole intention is to free her nitwit brother from the destructive influence of Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain. She never expects to desire the arrogant, amoral cad. And when Dain's reciprocal passion places them in a scandalously compromising, and public, position, Jessica is left with no choice but to seek satisfaction... LORD OF SCOUNDRELS Damn the minx for tempting him, kissing him... and then forcing him to salvage her reputation! Lord Dain can't wait to put the infuriating bluestocking in her place—and in some amorous position. And if that means marriage, so be it!—though Sebastian is less than certain he can continue to remain aloof... and steel his heart to the sensuous, headstrong lady's considerable charms.

Criticism Of Books Lord of Scoundrels (Scoundrels #3)
3.5 stars. I liked, but didn't *love* it. I had read and enjoyed this book a number of years ago and decided to give it another try. I recently read its sequel (for the first time!), The Last Hellion, and really liked it, so I went in feeling hopeful. And yes, I did enjoy Lord Of Scoundrels again this time. But for me it wasn't quite as good as The Last Hellion.I know this is Ms Chase's most popular book, and many put it in their top ten of all HRs. And in many ways it is a rollicking, fun read

Many literary awards and many glowing reviews for this historical romance. They are all well-earned!Ive wanted you, too, Dain. I thought Id go mad.Fool, he said. Mad she was, to want such an animal.Your fool, she said.Stop it, Jess. She was nobodys fool, least of all his.I love you.The words shot through him and beat upon his heart. He couldnt let them in.He withdrew almost completely, only to drive again, harder this time. You cant stop me, she gasped. I love you.Again and again he stormed into

Reviewed for www.thcreviews.comI absolutely loved Lord of Scoundrels. This was my first reading of a Loretta Chase novel, and I will definitely be seeking out other books written by her in the future. Jessica was an extraordinary heroine who had a near perfection that one does not often find in a romance novel. Independent heroines can often become irritating to me, but Jessica was a thorough delight, a wonderful mix of charm, wit, strength, and heartfelt devotion. In spite of his utterly

It started off really well - from the first time they met and how she struck him dumb with her repartee! Priceless! It got better, the back and forth banter and my favorite scene when she ran out of his house and he chased her down the street and there's a rainstorm, and she bashed his chest with her wilted hat until he gave in and kissed her.I can just see him: confoundedly shouting: "what do you want, woman!"She wants you to kiss her, dummy! :)And then she shot him in the arm. That was a bit

Re-read via audio 11/23/2019Audio - 5 stars!!Story - revised rating bumping up to 5 stars!I have no idea why I complained about the writing style the first time I read this book. I loved the writing, and I loved the story more the 2nd time around._________________________1/25/20164.25. This would have been a 5 star read for me if not for the author's writing style. I found myself having to go back and read a paragraph or a page over again to understand what was happening or being said. Other

4.5 stars! Now I know why this book is considered a classic in the romance genre. I was utterly charmed by the unconventional love story between Lord Dain and Jessica Trent. Dain was described as somewhat less than an appealing hero, physically with a countenance of a brute. But boy, did he won me over in the end not by changing into someone unrecognizable but just by being him and falling in love with Jessica. Jessica Trent is one of the best heroines I've read of all time. Seriously, this girl

Instagram || Twitter || Facebook || Amazon || Pinterest I read this book for the Unapologetic Romance Readers' New Years 2017 Reading Challenge. One of my favorite romance pairings is the no-nonsense shrew with the duke of slut. I was expecting something along the lines of
