I found myself thoroughly engrossed in this series. The characters were heroes yet had flaws that made them more realistic. There was the undercurrent of a warning to all readers that if we arent careful in how we make decisions for ourselves and our government that we could end up in a broken United States. So, in addition to this being a science fiction, dystopian series, Lus series can also be a forewarning of the damage that humans can do a country if leaders are left unchecked. I thinkFantastic series!!! All time favorite!!!
Dystopian is my absolute weakness, but this series tops the list as my favorite by far! Marie Lu is a literary genius. Her characters, her world, her plot.. Everything is just phenomenal! If you haven't read this series, stop what you're doing and read it right now! I cannot praise these books enough!

Wow! Just wow! This book series was an intense emotional roller coaster. Love, pain, war, loss, love again, twists and turns. But it was by far the 3rd book that left me in awe. It made me laugh and cry and cry some more! Would 100% recommend it to anyone who loves trilogies and dystopias. p.s. the second book was not that good in my opinion but you need it for certain things that are in the third book. It also explains more about why they are split up.
*Warning: mild spoilers ahead*So, this trilogy starts with Legend. In this book, June Iparis, the Republic's only prodigy, losses her one and only brother, Metias,--her only family left. It was suspected that Day, the Republic's most wanted criminal, is the reason behind the death of June's brother. June decides that she wants to find Day by herself and do justice BUT things do not always go the way they're planned. And from there follows the two remaining books which are Prodigy and Champion.
I could not wait for this to end. I'm book three I considered abandoning a couple times. But I finished so I guess that means it had me hooked somewhat. I'm easily pleased with young adult and dystopian, so to bore me I think says quite a lot. When I think back through what happened across all three.books, it could have just been one single book and cut out so much of the ridiculous dialogues and dreams and past memories, most of which did nothing for the story and bored me. There was definitely
