Review posted on Got Fiction?When I see a 0.5 as a prequel, I automatically think it's a novella, but this one isn't. It's a full-length novel and it ties in really well with Cynthia Eden's most recent Night Watch book Never Cry Wolf.We have the heroine, Maya, who used to be a cop, but it turned into a vampire, sort of accidentally (a vamp ripped her throat open, she shot him, his blood dripped into her blood, yaddah yaddah yaddah-accidental vampire-you know how it is). Immortal Danger was a full-length opener to its series and full of the paranormal romance that Eden originally introduced me to. An earlier book by C.E. Maya is the most kick butt heroine I've read by this author. She's an L.A. Cop who is turned by a vampire. Five years later she's still going after bad guys but now they're the paranormal sort.Enter Adam. He's looking for Maya to help him find his kidnapped niece and keeping some pretty big secrets of his own.The love scenes are smoking and the plot flows nicely, it took me just a little bit to warm up to Maya but I did wind up liking her.The ending is abrupt and I would
